I know someone who used to work for years at the Phillips pressing plant in Blackburn, until it closed. He used to bore me to tears with 'amazing' facts about records.

Modern records sound crap most of the time. You only have to do a google search about the recent Death Waltz records pressings of the two Twin Peaks soundtracks. Can I have a Snap Crackle and Pop :lol:

It depends a lot on the pressing plant, not all labels have the same issues.

There just aren't enough of them to meet demand. Sony are supposedly opening new ones up.

I think there's one decent sized one in the UK.

It's a case of churn em out as quick as they can, QC be damned! (Perfect for Arrow really;))
