Don't get me wrong (because I do like Pitch Black) but this seems like a slightly odd film to choose as the first Arrow 4K UHD. I would have expected to first see another Arrow title such as Robocop or John Carpenter's The Thing. Still I hope Pitch Black sells very well so that Arrow release more films on 4K UHD format. btw I would especially like to upgrade Arrow's Dario Argento titles, my (stunning looking) Synapse Suspiria UHD would like some company. :)

It's just a typical ship under siege from aliens story except it's set in almost total darkness. It's okay but nothing to wow over in my opinion. seen it twice on dvd. Radha Mitchell is the best thing about it.

Personally i prefer The Chronicles of Riddick. However third film Riddick is just dire.

It's on Netflix, I'm going to watch it too, I've never seen it.

Arrows first UHD, there is a regular BD as well.

Excellent news. I really like Pitch Black and thinks it's a film that will certainly benefit from the colours, contrast, and detail from a 4K scan. It's a shame there's no Dolby Atmos or DTS X soundtrack because it's a film which uses the sounds to fantastic effect.

btw Cringed when I watched this on the old region 1 dvd. Could have happily seen it being excluded. :)

Ewwwwww, that's bad. And even worse that they're not using original art on the reverse.

That's a fine way to ruin a great set. Why not use one of the visually striking theatrical posters as a reverse option?
