Why couldn't the Arrow release of Videodrome contain the "other version" found on the Critirion release?

The pseudo snuff film shown on the tv in the movie, I believe is what they're talking about. It most likely wouldn't be able to be included as a seperate extra in its entirety, as it would lose it's context and the BBFC would probably have a problem with that according to Arrow

Will the arrow version of videodrome be cut like the uk blu ray I already own. I have the criterion blu ray in my basket ready to order.

I think what is being referred to is the supplemental material on the Criterion DVD/Blu ray. The BBFC may have issue with them as they did with 'Fake Porn Movie' extra in The Howling. Something to do with the scenes being 'divorced from its original context'.

Hopefully not, but it hasn't been confirmed yet so who knows.

What were the cuts to the uk version of videodrome?

I think the version released in the UK was the US 'R' rated version. The version that Criterion released is slightly longer (not by much though).
