Exposure Cinema

It's worth keeping an eye on UK label Exposure Cinema (who have recently released the Fritz Lang movies SECRET BEYOND THE DOOR and WHILE THE CITY SLEEPS) as they are promising some 'contemporary chillers and classics from the video rental era' in 2012 :)

From their newsletter:

In our earlier mail-order incarnation, we were inundated with requests for horror titles. We haven't forgotten and are currently reviving a series of grim'n'gory contemporary chillers and classics from the video-rental era, all of which will be issued in morbidly collectable editions complete, in some cases, with '80s-style reversible covers. Our deformed servants are slaving behind the scenes and will reveal their warped creations next year.

dream demon 13th November 2011 06:37 PM

Judging by their release of Secret Beyond The Door, the prices should be good, and it looks like they are capable of designing a decent cover, too.

Interesting company. A one man show as far as I know.

Great releases so far.

Pete 13th November 2011 10:48 PM

What's the pq like on their dvd of SNOWBEAST?

snipsmovies 13th November 2011 10:55 PM

Very decent to be honest

TJ Doc 13th November 2011 11:14 PM

Yep, their Snowbeast release looks pretty darn good.

Looking forward to seeing what these guys have in store.

dream demon 14th November 2011 06:17 PM

I think I may pick up that Snowbeast. I've never heard of it before, but it sounds interesting.

It's a made for TV movie from the 70's starring Bo Svensson and it's not bad.

Good to know the Exposure dvd is decent - I've only seen the Vipco release and well, need I say more?

Demdike@Cult Labs 14th November 2011 06:33 PM

I have Snowbeast on one of those 50 movie packs, its probably better than Vipco, but only just.

Culture Vulture 26th November 2011 10:34 PM

Brilliant. We need more companies like this. Every little helps

Culture Vulture 26th November 2011 10:36 PM

*Ponders* Maybe they could re-release Gargoyles?

I contacted Exposure Cinema regarding Snowbeast and they sent me the last remaining copy of the company's collection, free of charge!!! :)

Pete 13th February 2012 04:36 PM

Wow, that's really good of them.

Any chance you can post some grabs? I'm curious to see if it's better than the Vipco DVD (which carried an '18' cert )

Something ''nasty'' is coming from Exposure Cinema ,soon.
Hint:The key word is ''video'' ;)

sawyer6 22nd February 2013 06:27 PM

Severin will be releasing Expose on R2, so it's not that.

When? I google it and it seemed to be some talk about it 5 years ago.

Pete 23rd February 2013 11:25 AM

They are planning to give it a US release but apparently the elements were in poor shape. I assume it's back on though since they recently posted a picture of the film can and the poster on Facebook.

It might even be getting a BD release too now apparently.

ReturnToZero 23rd February 2013 05:08 PM

Ah, i see. Quite a risk there as some of their BDs look good and some ****ing SHIT.

sawyer6 23rd February 2013 05:55 PM

Another guess :Toxic Zombies ?

ReturnToZero 23rd February 2013 06:03 PM

I thought Linda Hayden was a clue but can't see anything that connects her to Toxic Zombies?

From madeleymade, one page back.

sawyer6 23rd February 2013 06:30 PM

I think I found another clue

VTC logo - YouTube

mr 420 23rd February 2013 07:08 PM

Does a title come up after the ident? The link won't work for me. The two VTC titles that I think would be contenders are Nightmare City and Zombie Holocaust. I'm not sure who has the R2 rights to these though.

Pete 23rd February 2013 07:13 PM

An ex VTC title? I wonder if they're releasing the *yawn* Video Nasty DELIRIUM?

2019: After The Fall Of New York would be a good one.

sawyer6 25th February 2013 01:02 PM

From Exposure Cinema :
Quote:

We can't say anything more just yet, although further clues will be revealed soon. The initial films in our horror series will be from 1980 to 1987 and will all be available on Blu-ray, in collector's editions. We have a suspicion that Cult Labs members might find something to enjoy
