Dreamscape is a great film!

Mr Reuben also directed the brilliant Stepfather!

J Harker 16th June 2017 07:04 PM

There's a Second Sight promotion at Fopp. Most blus seem to be £6 and dvds are £3.

I think so,It beat A nightmare on Elm Street by a couple of months on release,Dennis Quaid and Kate Capshaw are really good and David Patrick Kelly makes a great villain.

The Magus isn't Second Sight it's from Signal One. Still good luck Dem, I've not seen Dreamscape in years but i remember really liking it once upon a time.

Nostalgic 24th November 2017 11:14 AM

Xtro is up for pre order at amazon.

The willard/ben dvd set i have only seen at hmv, everyone else seems to just have the bd set. Don't fancy paying £35 for two films i haven't actually seen.

i guess they'll use the same master as Severin so it may be a case of who has the best extras? i'd prefer to support a uk company if at all possible.

Fantastic-the Japanese Canal BD is an abombination!

Nostalgic 10th March 2018 10:30 PM

Apparently the second sight xtro blu has an alternate ending & soundtrack cd amongst the extras!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 12th March 2018 06:48 PM

May persuade me to flog the German Ltd ed......

Nostalgic 12th March 2018 10:16 PM

It seems prety cheap at £17.99 for the amount on there, very tempted to put a deposit down in hmv.

Of course this was originally set for March, now bumped to May

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 13th March 2018 06:28 AM

I pre-ordered mine from HMV the other day.

Artwork is as follows:

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 13th March 2018 03:35 PM

thanks for the update. this from the SS Facebook page might be of interest to fans of this movie

Just a note with regard to our release in comparison with the German release. The German release has 4 discs, 2 are blu-ray, 1 DVD and 1 CD. We will also be including a CD. We have both included 4 versions of the film. Two of these are the same full length versions but with different endings. Another is the same edit but with colour and other visual adjustments made by the director, although our director’s version is a brand new one he has just delivered to us. The German release also includes a shorter edit of the film which they call the original video version. This is not however the original UK VHS edit which we have included. We worked from a different scan of the film and our restoration preserves fine grain and detail. We used 1 Blu-ray disc rather than 2 as David Mackenzie of Fidelity in Motion (who is authoring the disc) has used seamless branching so bitrate will be high and encoding of the highest quality. While we had access to the extras on the German release, we wanted to produce our own exclusive new material which included interviews with additional cast members in our hour long 'making-of', together with other newly produced material.

Demoncrat 30th April 2018 09:47 PM

This I like

Xtro Review | DVD Compare

"...That the film's drama remains compelling is largely due to the central performances of Stegers and Sayer, both lending ambiguity to a story where there really is none since virtually everything is telegraphed early on by the derivativeness of the science fiction elements; and the film remains interesting as a future Video Nasty, and one of the gorier pre-A Nightmare on Elm Street New Line horror films (alongside with The Evil Dead which they would release the same year)."
