Should Shameless release THE KINDRED?

Ok.. here we go! Let THE KINDRED fanclub be heard!

I've kept it nice and simple. There's no option for 'they should release blah blah etc instead'. There's room for everything so this doesn't mean they can't also entertain the thought of releasing every giallo under the sun. :)

Here's the trailer that Sargento posted earlier to help you make up your minds.

Go on.. you know you want it...

bizarre_eye@Cult Labs 12th August 2010 06:26 PM

Yeah, I'd buy it for sure - love films like this, and haven't seen The Kindred since the days of VHS. Ah, the memories!

the blob 12th August 2010 06:27 PM

It would be a world exclusive release BTW.. imagine the millions around the world gracing their shelves with it..

Make Them Die Slowly 12th August 2010 07:16 PM

Yes please.

DeadAlive 12th August 2010 08:13 PM

Oh Yes! I'd forgotten about this one.....

Stephen@Cult Labs 12th August 2010 08:57 PM

I say No!...... Only for the fact that there's probably more chance seeing it from Arrow, especially as a special edition. :)

Paul 13th August 2010 12:00 AM

You'd sell shed-loads with the VHS box art on it!!!:bounce: I love monster flicks and would love an upgrade on my ex-rental video I have.

the blob 13th August 2010 12:08 AM

Good start. keep it up!

Daemonia 13th August 2010 12:16 AM

Oh man, it's been years since I last saw this - but I'd definitely plunk down some cash for a DVD or BD of it, for sure.

Paul 13th August 2010 10:10 AM

It would seem that Lionsgate own the rights to this now (in the US at least). Do they own the UK rights too?

Jeff Blair 13th August 2010 11:57 AM

i love this film, and it doesn't have a release at all anywhere as far as i know, so it desperately needs to come to dvd for that reason alone.

Sargento 13th August 2010 05:18 PM

Seems like a lot of positive thoughts from postings on here. If Arrow manage to pick it up, good on em. Either Shameless or Arrow would do a great job. I am surprised Lionsgate own the US rights ... and if so, where the heck is it?

Gigantor 13th August 2010 05:27 PM

Lionsgate Films own the rights to alot of movies actually.

the blob 13th August 2010 05:29 PM

Weird. I was reading Synapse bought the rights a few years ago and had it slated for release then it got dropped. I've got no idea...

wayfarer 16th August 2010 10:33 AM

Like others on here, I watched this in the VHS era. I think I own the soundtrack, I'm not sure:lol:

i would be interested if Shameless/Arrow released it. It's annoying if one of the studios owns the rights and is doing nothing with them.:loco:

Vampix 16th August 2010 03:23 PM

I'd buy it! :)

Sargento 16th August 2010 05:50 PM

Who has voted "NO"?

Grrrrrrr

:mmph:

the blob 16th August 2010 05:57 PM

A dissenter in the ranks!

Sargento 16th August 2010 06:10 PM

"Get him!!!!"

:mmph:

Paul 17th August 2010 10:16 PM

Shun the non-believers!:mob:

Sargento 18th August 2010 05:14 PM

And another one!!! Are they ganging up??

:mmph:

Sargento 18th August 2010 05:15 PM

Wonder if these 2 guys have actually seen the movie?

Rhodes 21st August 2010 02:11 PM

i'd be more than happy to replace my much watched vhs copy :)

Koukol 26th August 2010 08:14 PM

Absolutely!

The only DVD available is the crappy looking Australian DVD.

I say bring it on in BD!

Rhodes 26th August 2010 08:38 PM

does anyone else love the way that guy screams "OH MY GOD!!"? it' so over the top, always makes me laugh! yes, the kindred really must come to dvd or bluray :)

Gigantor 27th August 2010 05:06 AM

Same here -- and that goes for quite a lot of the films that Shameless have put out.

colemandove 6th December 2010 11:05 AM

Well, some books are bound to be like others. Including Movie. Well look at Twilight and the Vampire Diaries.

Jeff Blair 24th June 2011 01:35 AM

kindred

i've managed to pick it up on video tape so that will have to do for now.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 24th June 2011 05:01 PM

I've never seen it but as far as I'm concerned, the more releases, the better.

Demdike@Cult Labs 24th June 2011 05:11 PM

The Kindred would be a certain purchase by me.
