After seeing that leg scene, Fulci's New York Ripper looks pretty mild in comparison. :D

And i wonder why Blue Underground never picked this one up?
There was a rumour a while back that MYA DVD were going to.

It was mentioned on another forum that the licensor is not interested in doing a deal with anyone. That was a couple of years ago though, so things may have changed since then.

Hawkmonger 17th June 2012 02:44 PM

It's an Italian /Spanish co-prod.

Yeah, there are quite a few, mostly from the 60's.

blu 20th August 2012 03:23 AM

Blu-ray versions of these please:

Deathdream
Shock Waves
The Video Dead
Zeder
Zombie Creeping Flesh

ryder 7th October 2012 06:49 PM

Fear over the city aka peur sur la ville
x5

i would really like to see this actionpacked poliziotteschi/giallo hybrid movie.
Saw a movie reviewer listing his top 10 eurocrime flicks with this at the no1 spot. ahead of rabid dogs, milano calibro 9 etc.

It's a french/spanish movie with italian vibe.
It has some dvd releases but none of them are english friendy. french dialogue, no subs.

quick synopsis taken from imdb:
A serial-killer frightens Paris by phoning young ladies at night, telling them insults about their lives. Minos, as he calls himself, wants to prevent the world from free women and he targets at first these ones. Commissaire Letellier is given the investigation and he has hard work with the maniac.

Fantastic Argoman! One of the most delirious movies ever made.

Slinker 19th December 2012 12:48 PM

Would love to see a good DVD release of A Special Cop in Action `Italia a mano armata` with Maurizio Merli :)

Gojirosan 19th December 2012 01:32 PM

Has anyone mentioned Death Laid An Egg recently?

ReturnToZero 19th December 2012 02:34 PM

I think Shameless should release Death Laid an Egg.

Slinker 22nd December 2012 02:31 PM

Peur sa la ville (aka The Night Caller) Another pick....
Havent had the chance to see it yet but its meant to be a good action / serial killer flick from France, could do with a proper makeover :)

YellowFever 5th January 2013 04:42 PM

top 5 picks for shameless releases

My top 5 titles wanted released on Shameless would be

1. Your vice is a locked room and only I have the key
2. The case of the Bloody Iris
3. Five Dolls for an August Moon
4. Red Queen Kills Seven Times
5. Death Walks At Midnight :pop2:

Demdike@Cult Labs 5th January 2013 05:22 PM

Its all gone very quiet on the Shameless front again. :(

Pete 5th January 2013 05:32 PM

As much as they'd like to release something they can't because every SD & HD master has been lost.

:p

Hawkmonger 5th January 2013 05:38 PM

Hows about some Bruno Mattei getting the yellow box treatment?

:p

Or haven't been released by Nouveaux before.

I have demanded Scalps and Shocking Dark but Shameless can't release them because that would be no Nouveaux re-releases.

Third Eye 5th January 2013 08:19 PM

Cozzi's Black Cat (aka Demons 6 De Profundis)
Giallo a Venezia
Amuck!
Terror Express w/Silvia Dionisio
Washing Machine, The Barbarians (Deodato)
and more gialli and poliziotteschi that have not yet made it to English speaking DVD...

Good choices - except I already have them all on very nice DVDs (as do probably quite a few people on here). Now if they were to do a Blu upgrade on them, then I'd be interested.

Hawkmonger 7th January 2013 09:59 AM

.....STRIKE COMMANDO!!!

ReturnToZero 7th January 2013 02:31 PM

.....SCAAAAAALPS!!!

or

.....SHOCKING DARK!!!

Rassilon 7th January 2013 05:23 PM

1. Conquest
2. The Beast Within
3. Crypt of the Living Dead
4. Zombie Creeping Flesh
5. Devil's Nightmare

and under no circumstances should they release Exorcist 3 (rip off) Cries and Shadows because it was rubbish then and it's still rubbish now.

Nice film, i have the Raro DVD of this. At first i couldn't decide if i hated it or loved it. The production is so poor and some of the acting is so bad i almost fainted. But it has some great death scenes and a story that never turns boring.
Shameless doesn't deserve to release this one ;)

I love Gialli, but I thought Death Laid an Egg was pretty boring. There's not enough eye candy or sleaze in it I guess.:)

aiven54 8th January 2013 11:46 AM

more titles!

I hope that Shameless will release:

Amuck
Death laid an egg
Pensione paura
The house that screamed

And the hard to find Umberto Lenzi's movies from the late sixties, early seventies.

Keep up the good work!

ReturnToZero 14th January 2013 02:09 PM

The Bloodstained Butterfly (1971)
This has only been released in a limited DVD (OOP?) in Germany before as far as i known.

Queens of Evil (1970)
Is available in Italy by CineKult but it's not english friendly.

Never seen any of these before. Should they be released?

The Bloodstained Butterfly is far from the best gialli I've seen, but it has its moments, and I'm all for more gialli being released into the UK market ;)

I have the German Eyecatcher release, and it isn't great quality, but certainly watchable.

There was also a Spanish(?) DVD of Butterfly, but that was pretty awful quality (and cut too, I think).

I've never seen Queens of Evil.

bgart13 14th January 2013 05:50 PM

Gonna toss in a guess for NIGHT OF THE HOWLING BEAST (see my post in the Arrow New Releases thread...).

Third Eye 16th January 2013 03:10 AM

Queens of Evil, as I recall, is worth pursuing. Had a very nasty umpteenth generation VHS of it, but still liked it very much.

digitopolis 1st February 2013 12:16 PM

I'd like to see some rare Camille Keaton films on Blu-ray.

1. Madeleine...Anatomy of a Nightmare (Keaton's best performance)
2. Tragic Ceremony (the Dark Sky release is merely okay)
3. Sex of the Witch

And some others.
4. Demons 5: The Devil's Veil (surprisingly good Lamberto Bava film)
5. A Black Ribbon For Deborah (similar to Rosemary's Baby)

Rik 1st February 2013 04:26 PM

My Top 5 choices
1. A film
2. A film
3. A film
4. A film
5. A film

If you mean the Lamberto Bava film, then it's already out on DVD and BD from Arrow. :)

I hope we're going to see something better from Shameless this year. Be nice if they returned to their old ways and released more obscure stuff like FOOTPRINTS, OASIS OF FEAR and RATMAN (though that should have stayed in obscurity!). But I doubt it - we'll probably see more pointless re-releases of films which have been out countless times before.

I heard they looked into 'A FILM' and it's four sequels but they backed out because all the HD masters have mysteriously disappeared. :p

I've actually done a schedule for them for 2013 but they don't seem very interested in films and good business.

Oh no, I meant his semi-remake/tribute of "Black Sunday" which is also titled "La maschera del demonio". I was just using the Japanese release title "Demons 5" because of all the unofficial Demons sequels, this comes closest to being a 'proper' sequel. It's still not out on DVD. :(

I agree, that would make a most interesting release.
