Totally agree, I was thirteen when I first saw Revenge of the Ninja (I'm turning forty this year!), me and my brother thought it was the best film ever!!! So much so for years we used to pillage our local video shop for any movie that had the slightest sniff of a ninja in it (Sakura Killers & Ninja Wars with the legendary Sonny Chiba are two that spring to mind). We never missed an episode of The Master neither.

Some decent quality uncut releases of Sho's movies would be a most welcome addition to my collection.

I remember buying the Revenge sell through back in about '86(?). It contained a few extra scenes of added gore at the end where the two ninjas storm the mafias headquarters. Probabally only amounted to about 10 ,20 seconds or so, but were very evident by their inclusion.

I was just thinking, how good would that poster look wrapped in the arrow packaging containing a lovely new blu ray disk and the like? hint, hint! Almar, just out of intrest, how hard would it be to license this title of a big player like MGM? Its obvious that they have no intrest in releasing it in the uk, but would they be willing to lease it out to a third party?

The video version of Revenge was heavily pre-edited before release (missing most of the cinema cuts) and then cut slightly further. Around 6 mins missing in total.

Both would pass easily today bar for the cockfight in Enter.

What do you think about this being picked up for an r2 release? I think that it would be a massive seller. Whenever I mention this film there always a massive fondness that comes across form people remembering it. I know its a ninja film, but it has enough exploitation to cover most bases!

A lovely Sho Kosugi boxset would do nicely and original poster art would look great in any packaging. It's a shame that these films haven't had a release. It's obvious that they're wanted.

A boxset! Now you've got me drooling. Just imagine, brand new flawless transfers of the films, an up to date interview with the man himself (maybe not Kane, as they are not speaking apparantly!), maybe a poster or two. Wake me up, Im dreaming now! lol

It would be a dream come true.I watched Pray For Death the other night. They may as well have ended the film 10mins before the credits with the amount that was cut from the final fight!
