Default Where is the Optimum THEY LIVE Blu-ray???

I was browsing the optimum website earlier to see what blu-rays they have released. I got massively excited when I saw THEY LIVE blu-ray advertised...

Optimum Releasing: They Live (Blu-Ray)

Supposedly released 22nd september 2008! But.... I check amazon / play / etc and there is no sign of it!

Anyone know the story behind this?

I've been asking this question for some time all over the internet and no one seems to know, it's a mystery to me.

It was released very briefly and withdrawn just as swiftly by Optimum after being labelled and blasted for being as poor a transfer as their BD release of Escape From New York.

Ah... Any gossip as to a re-release of better quality?

Carpenter films deserve better treatment!

Nothing as yet on They Live but there is a John Carpenter film being released on BD this month and that is Carpenter's Vampires in France. Looking likely to be uncut too....

Hey that's good news. James Woods really makes that film, he has some great dialogue.

While we're on the subject of Carpenter. I know that Escape from New York has a fairly atrocious print in the UK, but I think Fox have released it in the US. Was wondering if anyone has this version and whether they think the transfer is better?

God, isn't it? It's arguably the worst bluray cover I have ever seen. Ever
