Default CONAN THE BARBARIAN 1982 - WHICH BLU-RAY?

I have three different blu-rays of this - U.K., U.S.A. and Australian.

There seems to be various debate about which version is best.

The U.S. version is missing an additional scene and has a soundtrack error.
The U.K. version has a soundtrack error and is cut (but apparently can be played uncut if you choose a different menu language)
The Australian version - I can't find any info on this.

Does anyone know anything more on this?
I don't know which version to keep.

Thanks.

I have the UK blu ray. I have heard that if you choose the other language option you get the film with the cut bits back in, which are only horse falls. Nothing major. The BBFC made them cut anything that involved tripping horses with wires.

Yes I've heard that, but there also seems to be other issues and wondered if anyone was in the know about them?

Right, the Conan Blu-ray situation is a bit of a nightmare.

Far as I know, ALL releases have the sound issue (chorus disappears during a few parts). Pretty sure picture quality is identical across the board.

The FOX releases (i.e. UK and AUS) include the "Wild Blueberries" scene, along with an additional documentary.

Making the UK disc uncut is easy peasy (just change your player's DISC MENU LANGUAGE to French). It's unclear, but the Australian Blu may be the same.

There is meant to be a corrected re-release on the horizon, but for now, only the extra scene and bonus feature on the FOX discs really make a difference.

OK, I have checked the Australian Blu-Ray and it is the same cut UK version (very lazy considering the cuts aren't even for their market) when played in English.

Having to set my blu ray player in a different language every time I want to see just one irrelevant scene is a pain, so looks like I'll stick with th U.S. release for now.
