I watched bava's bay of blood ( arrow) the other night, for the first time in years ( last copy was a dodgy uncut vhs copy in the mid eighties) and was a little underwhelmed to be honest, dont know why as its a blueprint for giallo's which I love. I watched a good old black n white the other night, the hounds of zorloff, classic over the top villain in this film, would recommend if you like vintage horror.

Its nice to meet another big hammer fan. Something about the franchise keeps me hooked, really enjoying the new releases on Blu Ray of some of them!

You heard of deathwaltz records? they just won the rights to start producing limited edition hammer scores of old on vinyl, they will be drip feeding them to the public..... Hammer films & Death Waltz announce partnership | Death Waltz Recording Company .......I have just purchased 'let the right one in' white vinyl lmt edt of 200. Also 'prince of darkness' blue vinyl, 'zombie flersh eaters' blood spattered vinyl and 'living dead at the manchester morgue' green vinyl( I love this film, wish I still had the poster I had from my teenage years from the video shop) I like horror soundtracks.

Julias eyes was fantastic, as was the orphanage. Just about to watch arrows 'bay of blood' a bava film i have not seen for years. Spanish for me is the country of the moment for horror, I watched a film called Hierro a few weeks back, visually stunning and atmospheric at times. Have not watched my blu ray 'REC' yet so looking foreward to that too. What you watching next? I lobve horror, I collect old magazines from the 50's to modern day, horror film books, anything universal, hammer, amicus and tygon studios from lobby cards to posters and peter cushing, chris lee and vincent price are my heroes from being a kid as well as lon chaney jnr, boris karlof. What about yourself mate? what got you into horror? I watched horror films with my nan and crap myself when I was about 7, they used to have a creature feature double bill on, one black and white and then a colour one late on, usually hammer, late 1970's. Horror comics were where my money went then too.My missus thinks Im odd, its great!

Hi Steve, thanks for adding me. Argento fan? Whats your favourite movie and why? So many reasons to like so many of his earlier films, personaly mine is a toss up between Suspiria because of the colours and music more than anything, Inferno because it is so 'out there' and wicked soundtrack, and Tenebre as it was my first Argento film I saw.
