Somebody on another forum said that his (probably now-ex)mate told him that 4 FLIES ON GREY VELVET had played on BBC4 sometime during the last fortnight. This, not surprisingly, turned out to be complete balderdash.

Best version of Deranged is the German version-fully uncut.
Apparently the best version of Galaxy of Terror is the Italian version.
That German release of DERANGED is horrible though, isn't it? The exised scenes were added back in from a print that looks like it was taken from a VHS source.

The Devils for me. Oliver Reed's finest performance (out of many) and a fully restored version of this film is long overdue.

Eyes Of A Stranger always reminded me a bit of the equally sleazy Don't Answer The Phone.

The cinema/video version was cut further from the R-rated print and it would be interesting to see what the BBFC would make of it now.

Yeah, but I think it's fully uncut.I remember watching the MGM Double bill version and thinking-'there's stuff missing'.
Does anyone know if the Exploited vhs release was uncut?

Yes The Devils is a classic. I have the Maverick Directors VHS with the Rape Of Christ scene on a video compilation. A release of this, with a Ken Russell commentary, would be brilliant and essential.

It was cut by 18 secs (edits to the evisceration of the woman's nude body at the end). Shouldn't pose a problem today.

The US disc of the 'X' rated version plays on r2 only machines easily so It's not worth the wait.It should pass fine though.
