Default What's Your Top Dvd Label?

What's your favourite genre label and why?
Do you buy films on the strength of the label?
What lures you to their website constantly?
I'm looking for some debate here please.....

I haven't included the Majors,i.e. WARNER,PARAMOUNT,SONY MGM (Midnite Movies is a dedicated subsidy of MGM).

Multiple choice mate..... If I had allowed just one vote each, then Shameless on a Shameless website would have won outright (and rightly so),but I want to know what the bigger picture is.....

Y NOT TARTAN?! lol! They have some truly BRILLIANT films m8 - "Battle Royale", "Versus", Black Christmas", "The Happiness Of The Katakuris" and TONES more! I think Tartan was the first company that I saw an Asian film, I think! lol!

AND their Delux Vengeance Boxset is FANTASTIC - All in a large purple box (from one of the films!) AND a hammer/bottle opener from Oldboy and others too.

Plus they do seem to really care about their DVD's - I mean besides Shameless - look how much detail is on the DVD's themselves - u dont find that much detail so nicely displayed in every comapany - I'm looking at Vipco here! (soz Vips! lol)

Some really great labels there. I'll always have a soft spot for Vipco, that was the first label I started collecting films from in my teens, and, in all fairness they released some great films (maybe not the best quality etc.) but they made a lot of obscure and ex-nasty titles widely available and I've got respect for them for that. Made my life easier when I was younger aswell.

Obviously I love Shameless so I wont dwell on that one too much. They are my favourite though, the time and effort put into restoring picture and sound and the releases in general is top notch.

Although I wish I owned more of their titles Blue Underground are another great label as are ABUK and ABUS. I quite like Tartan aswell, they're Asia Extreme dvd's were great as were they're Grindhouse releases. I'm kind of spoilt for choice
