I can't recommend Sheila' biography enough, I'm not normally a book reader but couldn't put this down. It's full of smiles, laugher, tears and an amazing insight into this fabulous woman's life. Prisoner was just a tiny part of her extensive story.

You may still be able to purchase a copy signed by the author (Helen is Sheila's former daugher in law) via HelenMartineau.com. I'd love to hear what everyone else thinks.

Plus, the film "A Woman's Tale" is a brilliant movie. Sadly Sheila's at this point was slowly losing her fight against cancer during filming which makes it even more hard hitting.

This was a big favourite of mine on a Saturday morning when I was a nipper. As far as I can remember it was a fairly lighthearted show. It must of been in the late 70s, early 80s that I saw it on Grampian.
