Joe Giannone's MADMAN is worth a mention; one of the better Friday clones........

Whilst 1982 also saw Jason don the famous hockey mask in 3D in FRIDAY THE 13TH PART III.

The 80's are smashing it in the decade stakes, tough, tough choices.

I've got a tie in first between the classic Tenebrae and the brilliant Creepshow, but there is tons of love for Pieces, Poltergeist, New York Ripper and The Thing

Now this one has been the hardest so far.

Tenebrae, Creepshow, Poltergeist, Basket Case, Q The Winged Serpent.

All brilliant films.

But there is one that stands head and shoulders above the others. That is The Thing. Some of the greatest effects ever made. Have seen the remake/prequel trailer and it doesn't deserve the name. Proper latex, mechanical effects are always going to be better that any CGI shite.

The Thing. Great story with amazing special effects. Perhaps the best remake I've ever seen.

My number one for 1982 is far and away The Thing.

Let's just say 1980 and 1981 were golden years for horror... And 1982 was no different! But i'm going to go with The Thing...

The Thing

Claustrophobic Tense Paranoia Isolation all factors in this fantastic film. Top notch special effects and again a great score from Carpenter.
