You said it and the movie also did absolutely nothing for me.

The 'Hospital bed-in-the-forest' dream sequence in An American Werewolf In London, Cheryl getting all 'possessive' for the first time in The Evil Dead and the 'Little boy-in-the-hallway' scene in Mario Bava's Shock. All these jump 'n' jolt moments work brilliantly too imo.
