Not so much scary to me but definitely disturbing. It's the relevant character's pose and facial expression that i find unsettling.

The only moment in the film that truly came close to creeping me out tbh.
There's also a scene in
Squirm where 'ol wormface Roger pops out of an attic hatch that works reasonably well too if i recall rightly.
