I ordered the US BD as soons as it came out over there
as it is one of the greatest films ever made 
and thought the transfer was decent enough. Not mind blowing and bursting off the screen (which would have been nice) but ok. Not sure if the UK BD differs transfer wise. Worst transfer I've come across is probably Miramax's release of THE QUIET AMERICAN.
