The recent run of horror remakes certainly divide opinion,i either love em' - this, The Hills Have Eyes, House of Wax, Texas Chainsaw Massacre or hate em' - Prom Night, The Fog, T he Hills Have Eyes 2. |
Remakes definitely divide opinion as, like you, I thought My Bloody Valentine was one of the better ones, but hate the Halloween, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Friday the 13th films. The Fog is just abysmal but I thought the reboot of When a Stranger Calls worked pretty well as it took the best part from the original – the first act – and made it into an entire film. It's not a great piece of filmmaking and it's certainly no 'diamond in the rough', but it's one of the better remakes.
