Terence Fisher is the first director that springs to mind when I think of Hammer. He didn't direct my absolute favourite Hammer film but he did direct many great ones.
His best in my opinion are BRIDES, HOUND OF THE BASKERVILLES, THE GORGON and THE DEVIL RIDES OUT but they are all such great films that I can watch and rewatch over again. (although I'm not sure I've ever seen ISLAND OF TERROR).
