AVAILABLE NOW: STELVIO CIPRIANI - IL FIUME DEL GRANDE CAIMANO (STELLA 85009)

"Previously unreleased soundtrack of the Sergio Martino movie "Il Fiume Del Grande Caimano" aka "The Great Alligator" from 1979. Main actor was Barbara Bach ("Bond Girl" from "The Spy Who Loved Me", 1977). All tracks produced and composed by Italian cult musician Stelvio Cipriani.

The music ranges from deep and spheric electronic synthesizer experiments to mystic, progressive afro drums with fascinating electronic facets as well several discoid and futuristic compositions plus last but not least some typical soundtrack themes. The overall concept creating perfectly the feeling of an adventure trip through a dark green, foggy and magic sinister jungle scenery.

To put it straight these lost recording are a glorious surprise, a highlight for all fans of Italian vintage music and all soundtrack collectors. Obviously a Stelvio Cipriani masterpiece which leaves the question open why this fantastic album wasn't available in stores before."
