I think the thing with direct to video sequels is you know what you'll be getting. All be it with less budget perhaps, or less well known actors.
The Ginger Snaps films are all required viewing in my opinion, as are all three
Candyman films,
Howling: The Freaks is arguably the best of the series.
Hollowman II and
Starship Troopers 2 are both fast paced sequels, indeed
Starship Troopers 2 goes in a
Thing direction as well.
Piranha 3DD is a John Gulager film (
Feast, and it's sequels) so expect tons of nudity, David Hasselhoff , Ving Rhames and gore galore.
