No, it's not about Jesus, but it
is about a guru
Cults. Aren't they just
wrong somehow? Maybe. So when an Indian swami and his (many) followers relocate to a remote area of Oregon in the USA, trouble isn't far behind.
Only two episodes in and I'm torn.
These "cultists" seem to be demonised by a secretly made film that shows their practises in an unfavourable light ( a mixture of what looked like to me various yogic methods and a large chunk of Janov's primal scream therapy) somewhat, sending the "god fearing" citizens into a mass panic which involves them taking potshots at the "city" that these folk (dressed in maroon) have built, reclaiming arid land and literally making use of a desert for all intense purposes.
And we all know how much muricans love the colour
red ahem.
Sane, rational behaviour in a land where they force children to pray to a piece of cloth each morning in school. If it all goes tits up in the next episode (6 in total) FAIR ENOUGH. But the second ends with a bombing of the groups hotel, and isn't that terrorism??
Hmmmmm????
Like I say I'm torn.
More to come!!!!
