Glasgiallo - June 27th - 28th Glasgow Film Theatre
If you can't wait until Monday 29th June when the first three Arrow Video Masters of Giallo titles come out on DVD and you live anywhere near the fine city of Glasgow then why not pop along for the Glasgiallo screenings of both House by the Cemetery and Macabre - plus a screening of Cut and Run! Glasgiallo will run at Scotland’s Glasgow Film Theatre on Saturday-Sunday, 27-28th June. HOUSE BY THE CEMETERY will be shown on the 27th at 9.00pm. On the 28th Ruggero Deodato’s gruesome actioner CUT AND RUN will kick things off at 5:30 pm, with Deodato in attendance for a Q&A; and MACABRE follows at 8.00 pm, with director Lamberto Bava for an introduction and Q&A with myself, Calum Waddell. PLUS attendees will receive an Arrow Video goody bag (whilst stocks last) Tickets are on sale now at the GFT site - http://www.gft.org.uk/content/ There's a nice story on the Fangoria site about this event - http://fangoria.com/home/news/16-dvd...creenings.html Last edited by Almar@Cult Labs; 24th June 2009 at 09:26 AM. |

I really want to go to this! Sounds excellent. Does that mean that Arrow might finally give Cut And Run a decent UK release too?

That's not on the cards for now but a healthy attendance would certainly be persuasive I'd imagine.

And for those who are interested, tickets are now on sale as of this morning. http://www.gft.org.uk/content/default.asp?page=s4# (Scroll down and click on "coming soon") According to the GFT's new programme if you want to see all three films the price is £16.50/ £12 conc. so you might want to give them a phone and order that way if you plan to see the full trio of movies. Not a bad deal for two exclusive in-person director appearances is it? |

I'm sure between us we can get some local knowledge together of some places to stay. I left Glasgow just as they we building a load of hotels in the city centre but I don't know which are the best now for value. I've dropped Calum a line and actually I'll ask the wife - she had to stay overnight not long ago and was quite pleased with the place she found.
