Trivial, I know, but nice of Arrow to be consistent. |

However, on the International Version, if you look closely you will notice that the words "Terror At The" have been superimposed. Oh, on our review, be sure to over over the pics for some of our attempts at humour. Kev W |

I did notice that the words had been superimposed onto the print.I never call it Terror At The Opera anyway,it'll always be Opera to me. But enough of my waffling.Again, great review. |

I won the Region One Anchor Bay release of Opera. Is it worth me replacing that copy with the Arrow release? Is their any quality improvement over the AB print? Thanks!

I have both versions and I must say that it depend how much of a collector you are regarding Dario Argento titles. In the video department I think both prints are the same. In the audio department, the Arrow edition wins over the Anchor Bay because you have a chance to choose between the Italian soundtrack and the English soundtrack in both the official dub or the Cannes dub. In the extras department, in the Arrow version you have the American version of the movie (edited). You also have an option to see the top six gore scenes for the movie and you are provided with a Dario Argento trailer reel. The Anchor Bay has a featurette that runs 35 minutes annd if you were lucky enough like me to grab the limited edition you have the soundtrack cd. Both releases bear a music video, biography and filmography for Dario Argento and two trailers for the movie. At the end of the day it depends how much you are a collector of Dario Argento but I think you can gain from the choice of the soundtracks that Arrow provides and as a curiosity you can watch the edited version of Opera. If I may say, Arrow edition is a welcome addition. You can see a comparison between these editions in the link below: http://www.dvdbeaver.com/film/DVDCompare7/opera.htm |
