The original grips from start to finish.I always fell asleep watching the sequel.:rolleyes:

The sequel wasn't terrible (I've seen FAR worse) but it doesn't deserve being mentioned in the same universe as the first one, which was a real awesome piece of storytelling and character development.

Same here. It's one of those DVDs that I've had for years but have never got around to watching. The first one is a masterpiece though.

Anyone know if the blu ray of "Battle Royale" will be region coded? I have two other Arrow blu rays (Dawn & Day) and they aren't so..........

I imagine they'll be a great deal of orders from overseas for this one, possibly moreso than any other title.

That might be part of the problem. If they (Toho) think a region free UK release will sap later sales from a region A japanese release, they might be less apt to allow it. I really hope that isn't the case because I'd WAY rather own an Arrow release than a super expensive Toho release.
