I forgot to also mention in my comments that I noticed that the film slipped out of its aspect ratio a couple of times for just the briefest of moments. I'll have to watch it again to get the exact times. Can't remember which version.

I finally got around to watch Bay last night, Arrow have done a brilliant job. The detail is fantastic, the colours much more natural which makes the blood stand out more. My only issue is the sound quality fluctuates and there appears to be a few jump cuts in print. Apart from that the film has never looked so good on standard def dvd.

I know that Fran at Arrow was concerned by the quality of the materials so it's good to hear that people seem overall pleased - I think this was a challenging one.

Overall, I'm very pleased with the product.

What's the chance of getting more Bava goodness on BD? :D

That'll depend on sales and also rights but fingers crossed.

I think we'd all like to see a decent version or even half decent of Blood and Black Lace, but I think Rabid Dogs would make a good release for Arrow.

If BoB did well for Arrow, I wouldn't be half surprised if we had a nice juicy new print of Blood and Black Lace from Arrow before the year is out.

;)

That would be great. Would also love to see Blu's for Kill, Baby...Kill! and Black Sabbath.

Most of Bava's flicks would prolly look awesome on blu-ray!
Blood and Black Lace (Six Women for the Murderer) is of course a favorite, but also:

Rabid Dogs / Kidnapped
Lisa and the Devil / Devil in the House of Exorcism
The Whip and the Body
The Girl Who Knew Too Much
Danger: Diabolik
Dr Goldfoot and the Girl Bombs
Caltiki, the Immortal Monster
Black Sunday
(superior to Black Sabbath, imho)
Blood and Black Lace (as already mentioned!)
