The Beyond was the first Fulci's movie I saw. Until today I think is one of the most underrated horror/thriller movies of all time.

It is, isn't it? It's my favourite Fulci by far...I think if it wasnt for the spider attack it would gain more respect - even I can't suspend my belief that much but the shape and structure of the movie is top notch. I love the shifting locations. 'all exits are sealed'.

I loved the spider attack - it's a creepy scene in my eyes; watch it with your wife/girlfriend/... and she'll go .

But yeah, The Beyond really seems to be underrated. Most horror fans at some point have heard of or watched City of the Living Dead, but when it comes to this classic many people just look like that:

I really recommend performing a double-feature evening: First COTLD, afterwards TB - should become a really enjoyable evening!
The Fulci aficionados might add The House by the Cemetery - a great one, too; and yes: the gore scenes are classy in this one as well.

Greetings!

I had it on one day and she ran out of the room when the tarantulas (robotic ones and all!) came on. She has an irrational fear of anything with eight legs.

The Beyond is my favourite of Fulci's zombie films (and my favourite zombie film by any Director), and agree that it does sometimes get over-shadowed by some of his other films. City is very close behind The Beyond in terms of classic status in my opinion, though; absolutely love it.

That's in the film. It's the blind girl.
