The Wizard of Oz starts in sepiatone.
Yes, it does and The Beyond does not. It's a yellow-gold version of sepia tone. Play them at the same time.

I've just come across this thread and read through it with great interest. I preordered the BR of The Beyond some time ago. I have to say that I would be very disappointed to find the pre-credit sequence in B&W despite Arrow's previous successes at bringing some of my favourite movies to BR. I'm hopeful that this is just an error in the production of the check discs and nothing that will affect the finished release.
I already own the ABUS tin and don't see the point in upgrading if it differs so drastically from the original. And to think that I originally watched it on a ropey VHS rental copy, back in 1983

Can someone please confirm if Arrow have corrected this?

There seems to be a LOT of doubt.....

No, you didn't and I only brought it up because your post reminded me that the opening of Oz is in true Sepia while the opening of The Beyond is different. Because you didn't make the comparison, I didn't use your name in the quote.

Sorry, if it still seemed directed at you.

On this review, they´re saying that the movie only gets 7.7 GB of the blu-ray. Is this correct?

The Beyond » Wtf-Film.com

This has to be a new record for the lowest space taken for a feature film on a BD...

I have seen HD-Rips online that are bigger than that.
It's a very good review and I share the writer's passion for the movie. I hate to be negative but the issues with the video and audio are making me think seriously about hitting the "cancel order" button on my Amazon account and sticking to what I already own.
I'll support Arrow as much as possible because I'm grateful for the time and care taken with genre releases and may fork out for it, for the extras later on, but perhaps not right now.
