Savage Streets – Technically Speaking
So, what do you make of the picture and sound quality? Is the disc as you expected, better, or worse?

From DVDbeaver: "Arrow's transfer of SAVAGE STREETS is an NTSC-PAL conversion with combing (see cap 4) and occasional stuttering during sideways movement. " Now that´s just mediocre Glad I stuck to my scandinavian disc from AWE/Studio S.

I feared the worse when there was talk of an NTSC-PAL conversion, but the picture quality was fine I thought. Looks a lot better than other conversions that I've seen.

Looks exactly the same as the AWE.

I'm not too bothered if Arrow's SS transfer represents a lesser quality image as i've got the B.C.I. and A.W.E. DVDs to turn to. I also intend on grabbing Code Red's forthcoming edition once it hits the streets seeing as this release supposedly utilises a new HD print.

I watched this last night.Looked absolutely fine to me. The real tester for this film is the clarity of the bath scene!

Although I wouldn't put that in my review, you're absolutely right. If Linda Blair looks like, that's just about all that matters!
