Not a bad idea at all- as the Scandinavian DVD apparently managed to get the ratio wrong.

I'm waiting for the DVD news- otherwise an impressive package for the "Blu" crowd.

I didn't realise that. However, as long as Vittorio Storaro hasn't supervised the transfer, then we should be alright.

The picture quality of that Scandinavian DVD is typically very good, but yeah...
it would be a mistake to use that 1.78 ratio transfer on a BD release!

A pretty cool easter egg on this release, I think, would be a comparison between this movie and Cuckoo Clocks from Hell.
