It looks absolutely brilliant in a 'so bad it's good' fashion -- I can't wait!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 6th July 2010 10:50 PM

Nice costumes!
Looking good!

vipco 7th July 2010 03:37 PM

I've never seen this before but I am looking forward to it.

Same here -- after watching Love Goddess of the Cannibals (I still quite like the title Caribbean Papaya) I'm in the mood for some more Euro sleaze!

Mojo 7th July 2010 05:46 PM

Had Sirpa Lane just read the film script in that last photo?

I've never seen this, but going by the Shameless trailer it looks absolutely bonkers.

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 7th July 2010 09:27 PM

Was there ever an alternative cover shown for this yet?

Getting on a bit now...memory ain't what it used to be......:twitch:

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 7th July 2010 09:57 PM

If there was, I don't remember seeing it! If there is one, could someone do the honours?

Sam@Cult Labs 12th July 2010 12:58 PM

The new web safe Beast in Space trailer focuses on the goofy Sci Fi elements:

Stephen@Cult Labs 12th July 2010 05:25 PM

Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see it.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 12th July 2010 07:34 PM

Ditto. I'd love to know what Shameless have in mind after the 'Euro sleaze trilogy' are done and dusted. I think these 'family friendly' trailers are utterly hilarious! As has been said, all they need is some Austin Powers style comedy prop placement to really turn them into a comedy masterpiece.

I'm hoping for some more gialli or some gothic horror. Looking forward to finding out, even if that's not the case.

Some more gialli would be great and, let's face there's plenty to choose from! Gothic horror would make an interesting change from the usual output and there are numerous films that would fit the bill on that count as well.

Beast in Space screener

If anyone out there from Shameless or The Associates reads this forum, I'd really like to gt a screener of this for Cinema Retro. I've tried emailing you guys but had no repsonse. It would be great to start promoting Shameless on our website.

Sam@Cult Labs 18th July 2010 05:07 PM

I've quoted the above in the admins corner of the forum, to make sure it gets noticed.

Here's my latest Beast in Space promo blog...

Sirpa Lane in 'The Beast'

Pete 18th July 2010 05:11 PM

Marina Hedman was also well known for her, err, love of animals:p

What films does she appear in having sex with animals loops.

Also have you seen any full on bestiality.

Pete 18th July 2010 06:40 PM

She's in quite a few. Kult Video have some of them for around 7 euro's.

Saw some full on bestialty when I was in college and some of the mild Joe D'Amato stuff from Caligula 2, Emanuelle Around the World and Em In America. It's not really my thing though. I like animals but not that much.

Stephen@Cult Labs 18th July 2010 06:48 PM

Reminds me of Ace Ventura's response to the question "you really love animals don't you?"......."If it gets cold enough". Classic.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 19th July 2010 03:33 PM

As rubbish as the film was, it was also utterly terrific and my review can be found here.

Pete 19th July 2010 03:42 PM

Great review Nos :)

For me, the best thing about the film are the beast's guards, who look like they're from the Jimmy Saville fan club:lol:

Now then,now then.
I have......here......a........letter....from a young man,who says...

Dear Jim,
can you fix it for me to spend a weekend with Sirpa Lane in a lovenest motel.
And Uncle Jim can confirm...here's how they got on! :smokin:

Stephen@Cult Labs 19th July 2010 06:51 PM

While searching the internet the other day after watching the dvd (amazingly cheesy film by the way), I was shocked to read that Sirpa died of aids in 1999. Very sad indeed. :(

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 19th July 2010 06:55 PM

Shame.:(

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 19th July 2010 07:05 PM

I didn't know that -- very sad news. The costumes are unbelievably bad but are such a major feature of the movie it is hard to believe that the film would have the same charm with good costumes!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 21st July 2010 10:19 PM

I watched this the other night.Hilarious!

I see what you meant about the Jimmy Saville-lightsaber wielding droids Loops!

That rubber dong on the beast? I was laughing my arse off!

It was a bit like La Bete on acid!

Does the Shameless DVD of this film feature Italian language?

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 22nd July 2010 03:48 PM

It's all in Italian with (optional) English subtitles.

yoshi68 22nd July 2010 03:58 PM

Thanks. This is great news!

The Reaper Man@Cult Labs 22nd July 2010 08:25 PM

If you love entertaining eurotrash, then you'll love this!

Groovy,halluciogenic and utterly hippy-trippy!
Far out man!:faint2:

This is one of the most entertaining releases of the Shameless catalogue so far!
Perfect complimentary piece to films like Galaxy of Terror and Forbidden World.

Black Gloves 25th July 2010 05:21 PM

If there's still a spare review copy of this available, I'd like to do a review for Horrorview.com. :)

Sam@Cult Labs 26th July 2010 04:12 PM

HMV are apparently waitimg for the price to go down so they can order it in, that's why it's so expensive at the moment.

Here is a grab from the notorious 'Ice Cream' sequence from The Beast in Space that was omitted from all known prints for being too graphic:
