Something to do with zombies in the Amazon. There's another one in there i fancy but i can't remember the title. The Dead Lands or something similar, a post apocalyptic type novel.

I've been trying to remember the name of a book I saw in Waterstones a while back. The cover was similar to the Clockwork Orange film poster (which was why I picked it up in the first place) but the book was about an armed response policeman who was a swinger in his spare time or something like that...? I've been googling like crazy but can't find it again. Can anyone help out?

Sounds bizzare matey but you've just reminded me about a book that I have been looking for. I can't remember who wrote it or it's title but it was about this chap who was obsessed with some old explorer with a military rank. There were crazed dwarfs, if I remember rightly, and (quite possibly) exploding penguins or Labradors. I think that the title may have included the phrase "In the Footsteps of..." and there was a sequel mentioned. Anyone have any ideas?
