I haven't read Blood Meridian; it's been on my wish list for a long time.
Thanks for the recommendations it sounds like his style is right up my alley I'll spend the weekend reading this winds are too strong to go fishing so a good book and the wind hammering the windows sounds perfect.

I have a single book with all three novels – it's a very reasonable price at Amazon, only £5.65.

It's also available for £5 at eBay:

This one from Waterstones. This one is part biography part writing on the music business. I’m looking forward to it as Confess from a couple of years ago was great.

Went to Boundary Mill at Colne today to have a look at their decorative room lights and came out with this for £2.99. Bargain when you consider it's the latest imprint and is priced at £10.99 on Amazon, Waterstones and WH Smith.

They didn't have it when i looked for it yesterday. There was a place marker but no book. In fact it looked as though they needed restocking all their books, loads had sold out.

Very nice – if you haven't read it before, I hope you love it as much as I do.

I know it won't be easy if you don't already have a copy, but is there anything which is obviously new for the 50th Anniversary, such as a new/additional introduction or something else that wouldn't be in previous editions?

Many years ago I read the "Armageddon Trilogy" by the writer whose name Jonathan Ross dare not speak on day-time TV, Robert Rankin.

I have a few of his, very funny and original, works in my "to read" pile but I only had 3 of the "Brentford Trilogy" holding up my bed, the first being so old and battered that it was almost unreadable.

I bought, last week, "The Antipope" (the aforementioned derelict book), and the "Armageddon Trilogy", plus a hardback copy of "Necrophenia".

I hope that my reading skills return and let me enjoy a bit of esoteric humour once again.
