"Have had to add more pages to our British Horrors book, which will be our biggest yet. It is looking amazing too, but don't take my word for it..." https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...3f&oe=5C4080FD https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net...47&oe=5C4D285D |
"Just a quick thank you to all of you stalwarts who have pre-ordered a copy of British Horror Films. The book has gone off to the printers now and you will not be disappointed. Copies will be posted out at the end of next week." |
Anyone who ordered the new Dark Side book should be getting it very soon. I've been told my copy arrived today but i won't be able to have a read of it for a few weeks yet. :presents: |

Apparently the 200th issue is going to be a special 100-page version Meanwhile, here's a taster of what issue 198 will include: |
|
"Here's a sneak peek at one of the features in DS 199, a very informative look at folk horror and also public information films like Apaches that scared the living daylights out of us as kids! This one hits shops March 7th" |
"Issue 200 of The Dark Side is 100 pages for just £3.99 and it is dedicated to everyone who has ever been stuck in a British Rail waiting room overnight with a haunted express in the vicinity. Ladies and gentlemen, we present Tommy Gander. He's a scream. Getting quite excited about sharing our Ghost Train cover with you all. This will be the ultimate issue of The Dark Side and it is all downhill from here on on, because I can’t imagine us equalling the dynamite content of 100 pages on Arthur Askey’s masterpiece ever again. Kevin has suggested a Stinker Murdoch special and that would surely prove popular, but today’s horror fans are not so familiar with Stinker’s output. I have recently heard that Jordan Peele is preparing a remake of The Ghost Train with Pee Wee Herman in the Askey role but frankly I think he is on to a loser. Some classics can never be surpassed. I don’t think it will happen anyway because I hear Arnold Ridley’s estate wants a cool fifty million plus platform " Seems to be very Arthur Askey-centric! Especially for those who like a good jape!! |
