I remember taking my back issues to the cinema store in london to see what they would give me for them (in the late 90's) and the guy said they're not worth the paper they're printed on! Lol! Very true unfortunately, and loads of film news (same as on the modern websites) about films that will never get made. I think the ain problem now is the repetition of all the articles, it's all "best of the 70's" or "empires 100 best films" or endless articleson scorcesse, spielberg, lucas et al, star wars, the godfather, alien, blade runner etc.
I know these are classics but there's nothing left to say about them!

I agree, and you throw in mucho disinterest in most of the current output, and there's not much left. It's the same with Doctor Who Magazine, really. The old stuff I've heard a billion times before, and the new stuff I don't really GAF about anyway, so...

Better add me too Amigo. I'm becoming more sceptical with my old age. I use to be an avid Empire reader back in the glory days of the film magazine. But now it's just a very pale imitation of what was one of the best film magazines in the UK.

The latest Empire magazine has a 48 page Han Solo encyclopedia with it... + a very nice poster of the Millennium Falcon.

I saw that today. I was tempted but after Empire's so called 'Last Jedi' issue and booklet was a pile of sh*t I did not want to waste my money again.
