Strange and Darke: New Blood: A truely genious series published in Megazine 319 to 323 earlier this year. It told the story of Psi-Judge Bekky Darke on her first job as new member of Endangered Species Squad under her new boss, Detective Jericho Strange. Set in Brit-Cit this story is a prime example of how different Brit-Cit is to the Big Meg, Judges can have social and sex lives, and there's a department for the protection of Lovecraftien and Pratchet monsters! Writen by master of wierd John Smith (Indigo Prime, Firekind) and with art from super droid Colin MacNeil (Dredd, Inssurection, America) this is a fresh new look at Dredd world that pay's homage to classic British movies, in particulare The Wickerman and Rosemery's Baby. Since when did Dredd hold his Lawgiver gangsta' style? GOD, the IDW series might be the best series based of Judge Dredd not to be in the prog, but that ain't saying alot. And what is up with the shitty uniform? You can tell the artists only point of reference was the 95 movie!  Bah, and I gotta wait till Monday for prog 1812. Now Trifecta for me!
