They had one tin left when I was in HMV Liverpool One a few weeks ago. It was £29.99

So they do. It does seem utterly ridiculous that you can buy the tin from Amazon for £17.99 when HMV stores are charging nearly twice that.

The HMV site is still listing it as an HMV exclusive and selling it for £27.99

Would be interesting to know if there are any differences between the 2 ... when I get mine, I'll post some info, maybe there IS some HMV exclusive goodie.

There isn't.

HMV are only listing it as an exclusive due to them having exclusive rights over it for a period of time before it was made available to other merchants.

Good to know - I've also wondered why Amazon.de lists some editions as "Amazon exclusive" that I can buy in almost every store in Austria. Turns out the exclusive deal is only valid for Germany, not including Austria.

Well, the word EXCLUSIVE doesn't mean what it used to nowadays, huh
