I reckon Pumpkinhead should get a 15 now.

Just recieved a Euro release (DVD) of Rats - NOT. and its rated 15, yet the VIPCO version is a cut 18. If the BBFC are relaxing then surely this would get a 15 if submitted now. |

Rats was never cut by the BBFC and was last submitted in 2002. It probably would pass at 15 today.

Rats has a lot of scenes that are difficult to watch for people who like myself who are extremely squeamish about rats, especially where you see dozens of rats being thrown at somebody. I watched Willard and Ben recently and the same there as well. Food of the Gods another. I think the latter film might get a 15 today as well. Never seen Food of the Gods 2.

Did you ever see Deadly Eyes, Angel? It was an abysmal attempt to film James Herbert's The Rats but set in Canada. The rats themselves appeared to be dogs in overcoats. Robert Clouse directed it. Wish he hadn't. |

No I still haven't seen that one, called The Pack here. Sounds very poor indeed.

The Pack was a different film Angel, though admittedly the same director. That one was about genuine killer dogs, rather than dogs dressed up as rats. I first saw Deadly Eyes on the old Guild pre-cert video (as The Rats) but it doesn't seem to have had a release since, which isn't really a bad thing. |

Sorry, I was thinking of the 1 sec cut to the rat on fire in Cannibal Apocalypse.
