Default Sequelitis

We all know what the most iconic Horror films are, but what are the best sequels, what do we want from a sequel? same again or off on a tangent stuff?

Discuss, or don't bother at all...

Personally I prefer Hellraiser 2, Poltergeist 2, Phantasm 2, Basket case 2 and Amityville 2 over the originals.

And i'm on the fence about the first two Re-animator films....

Going with modern films Terrifier 2 springs to mind straight away big fan of the first film but part 2 just ramps everything up to the max

Children of the Corn III Urban Harvest is far superior to the original film.

Taking the premise into the city really upped the ante in both story, creature feature levels and crazy gore.

The original Friday the 13th is no where near as good as the sixth film in the series Friday the 13th Part 6: Jason Lives.

That sixth film is wonderfully slick with a killing every few minutes, likable characters in Tommy and Megan and really shows what could be done with a machete wielding undead maniac. Plus Alice Cooper's theme song He's Back. The Man Behind the Mask is a classic.

I watched 2 and 3 of the Children of the corn sequels last year and enjoyed both, but agree that part 3 was the better one.

My favourite Friday 13th film will always be part 4, but 6 is definitely one of the best ones.

1973's Return of the Blind Dead is for me at least the best of the Blind Dead films.

The original Tombs of the Blind Dead (1972) is probably eerier but the first sequel really out does it with the undead Templars attacking the town and brings a level of excitement not seen at all in the original.

I like all the Blind Dead films directed by Amando de Ossorio but the second is the most enjoyable.

Definitely worth checking out no much in the way of a storyline just pure and utter madness and plenty of WTF moments it's good times guaranteed
