Bought a Logan blu-ray today. Quite excited to see it as I always enjoy watching X-Men films. Am highly curious to see a 15 certificate franchise entry! Heard lots of good things about it so am hoping that it lives up to the hype. :)

amazing film, best xmen film by far but dont expect a typical superhero movie its a very violent road/western movie with superhero elements.

I'm really surprised that it's not an 18 cert.
I was hoping that it would be 2 for 25 at HMV but it doesn't look like it yet, I'll hold off for a couple of weeks, I wont be watching it right away anyway.

I got it from Ebay via the seller All Your Music for £5.17 delivered but it was listed as a used item. I checked Amazon before buying it and the cheapest price was around £48 so it was a no brainer. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Jean-Harlow...ean+harlow+dvd

Rik 10th July 2017 01:57 PM

All Your Music are great for buying US releases, never been stung with any charges, but I'm guessing that's because I only order one item at a time from them (unless their policy has changed recently)

This time it's a UK release - the remake of My Bloody Valentine which I have never seen before (but I do very much like the original film). Cost a little over 7 pounds. Is this remake any good? Hopefully the wife and I will have a really fun time with stuff pokin' us both in the eyes! :)

It's okay, but the titles are a knockout, some of the best 3D I've seen.

Nope, the standard blu-ray release uses a two disc amaray case.

Final Fantasy turned up and Murder She Wrote arrived from Music magpie. with no photo and a price of just over £10 was not expecting the complete series even if thats what it said in description.

was expecting FF XII to be about 20-30GB but its over 40!

Watched Safe the other night, Stathy gets to act for a change but still finds time to kick most of cast to bits in one of his best IMHO, absolute steal at £1

platostotal 11th July 2017 05:03 PM

Why, when all you do is moan about modern films and poor effects blah, blah, did you buy A Good Day to Die Hard?

A more pertinent question would be why did you buy A Good Day to Die Hard?

Because if you got the other films might as well buy the last one for completion .

Even if it's rubbish? I don't own it and only have Die Hard 4.0 (entertaining in parts but otherwise pointless) because it was in a box with the first three films – the only ones I did want.

True but on blue ray for £2 loose change I certainly wouldn't have paid any more...

gag 11th July 2017 08:55 PM

There a couple of films I want to buy for completion, some if odd one or two not keen on will only pay couple of quid and no more ,
Films like Halloween, Fri 13th. Hellraiser Etc doubt I bother , and same goes for Children of the corn , and as for the remake I wouldn't even accept it if it was given to me free out a newspaper , I seen some shit remakes but by god that's the pits, I rather be tortured like Daryl of walking dead with a awful song on loop than have that pile of crap in my collection.

Ain't nowt wrong with A Good Day to Die Hard. I like it. No its far from the best but taken on its own terms its a decent enough actioner.
