With the PC ended some of the films are getting releases via their parent company's. This is one. To Catch a Thief, The Phantom, Target, Days of Thunder and Munich are a few others out this Monday. I could have waited for another PC two for £15 offer but i really like this artwork. |

Obviously some i want more than others and besides there's no way i can stump up £195 for the discs this year in one go, so i hope the next 2 for £15 offer, should there be one, isn't the last. If you're interested these are the titles in question Mr Smith Goes to Washington The Phantom Mighty Joe Young Target Blow Mystery of the Wax Museum To Catch a Thief Excalibur Treasure of the Sierra Madre Judgement Night Forbidden Planet The Hunger The Adventures of Robin Hood Them! White Heat Out of the Past Beast from 20,000 Fathoms The Public Enemy Murder My Sweet Suspicion Mr Deeds Goes to Town Gun Crazy You Can't Take it With You Little Caesar They Were Expendable On Dangerous Ground It's hard to believe i have 44 PC titles already. |
I want to get - Top Gun Trading Places The Mystery of the Wax Museum The Golden Child The Hunchback of Notre Dame The Time Machine The Thing Night Moves* King Kong The Satanic Rites of Dracula Point Blank The Maltese Falcon Judgment Night House of Wax 1984 Ice Station Zebra The Two Jakes Chinatown Deathtrap Key Largo A Clockwork Orange The Yakuza Dark Passage Days of Thunder The Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean Dolores Clairborne Target Looker Demon Seed On Dangerous Ground 36 Hours The Sea Wolf Even at 2 for £15 it's well over £200. |
Nice one. £240 If it's any help several of those have been re-released so you don't have to rush unless you really want them as Premium Collection titles. Top Gun King Kong The Two Jakes Chinatown Days of Thunder Target I thought The Sea Wolf was very good when i watched in December. |
A significant number of them, The Sea Wolf included would be blind buys. It's a shame the Premium Collection has come to an end because I really like the layout. Artcards, posters, original artwork. Very nice releases even if most of them never saw anything special in the way of transfers or extras. It's seen the release of a lot of classic cinema in nice but affordable editions. |

I've bought two in there without slips because they were titles I wasn't particularly desperate for and were only 5 or 6 quid. |

The only ones i was a bit disappointed with aren't on your list. Two Paul Newman films - Harper and it's sequel The Drowning Pool. The only ones on your list i haven't seen or don't own either as a Premium Collection title or on dvd are The Golden Child, The Two Jakes, Death Trap and The Hunchback of Notre Dame. Of the ones i own / have seen only Dolores Clairborne i thought was poor. So if it helps i think you can buy any of the others with confidence that you are purchasing a good or maybe outstanding film. It's not like blind buying Arrow slashers we haven't heard of. |

1 Attachment(s) Attachment 244910 Black House wrecks my bloody head I have a few releases by them and one came in a skinny black case then a few clear cases now today one arrives in a blue case just pick one or the other :axekiller: Anyway blind buys based of some great reviews in Dems Gothic thread. |

However, 2 cracking films there, I like Lips of Blood the best, it's maybe my 2nd fave Rollin film, Fascination is brilliant as well, probably the most famous scene of all Rollin films, a naked Brigitte Lahaie with a scythe. FYI, I ended up buying all of the redemption discs because I liked the artwork better and all of the boxes were the same size  Now I'll be buying them all again from Indicator haha. |

It's a good film but why it's in a set called Universal Terror i'll never know. It's a crime film about an inventor of a new alarm system. |
1 Attachment(s) A cheapie from Cex. It's not in the Underworld box set so now i have the complete series in HD. |

If you haven't prepare yourself for what it isn't. It's not an action packed war film or rip off of The Longest Day, it's basically a war time romance where two officers, one British, one American fall for the same woman. If you like it check out Hanover Street which again is a three way romance but a lot more action in it. The final third is gripping stuff. That Dunkirk disc is decent quality. I have the same one. |
Yeah, I've seen D DAY THE SIXTH OF JUNE before. Pretty sad ending. Dana Wynter comes away with nothing. She does look great in uniform!! Good news on the DUNKIRK disc. I watched it again last time it was on TV. I haven't seen HANOVER STREET in years. I cant even remember anything about it apart from Harrison Ford. Ill have to seek it out. |

I really want this but the packaging has put me right off, I hate clear plastic slipcovers over the top of boxes. I’ll end up kicking myself for not buying it though. |
1 Attachment(s) This week's new arrival. In a Lonely Place, classic Noir from Criterion starring Humphrey Bogart and Gloria Grahame. |
4 Attachment(s) Some charity shop finds. £10 for the lot. |

its release hit a critical failure when it was discovered that one scene included a family photo on a missing persons board in the background. The shots in question include said bulletin board and the aforementioned photo a handful of times, which wouldn't normally be a big deal, except for the fact that the crew associated with the film didn't do their due diligence and inadvertently ended up mixed up in a lawsuit for using a real person's image without their consent.
