seems a good way to try films i have never seen before and the ones i end up really liking shall buy better versions of.

Just take your pick then.

Murder Mansion is a good Gothic giallo on the second set, but i think it looks like crap.

Snow Beast, Slave of the Cannibal God, Devil with Seven Faces, Shock, Blood Mania, Don't Open Till Christmas, Count Dracula and His Vampire Bride, Invasion of the Bee Girls and Mad Dog are all good films on set two.

To be honest I would go for both but one at a time! Then if any really take my fancy look for better quality prints later!

Not a dvd but still film related as it has got a blu player and hdmi out. ;)

Got this at work last week for free,it wasn't really in good working order though (software troubles and an illegitimate copy of W7)...so they decided to throw it away...took it home and now after a week of fiddling around and reading up,I did a fresh install of Vista and the Sony drivers/utilities today (restore partition was unusable,I think the motherboard was replaced at some point)...took me a couple of hours as I couldn't get the function keys to work but now it seems to be working fine at last. :woot:

I'm finishing an install of Vista SP2 at the moment.

It's got an upgrade somewhere along the way btw and has 4 Gb of Ram.

Battery needs to be replaced though but that's not a big problem.

Thanks, currently having a look around for good bluray player software as there seems to be none included (maybe I missed something?).

Quick stop on the way home and I came away with

A Day of Violence - I walked out of this at Fab Fest a few years ago because it was so bad, so I am not sure why I bought it - help! The only thing I really remember were the gratuitous sex scenes with the overweight, hairy backed lead. I am sure he and the director must have been seeing one another as its the only reason I can think of for the love the camera shows him.

Bloodsport - to complete my collection of German blu-rays in red boxes

Portrait of a Zombie - I haven't seen this before, but I met one of the producers at Frightfest last year and she was so nice I decided to give it a go.

I use power dvd from ten onwards. Ten can be picked up quite cheap might also want to use a program called DVD pass key which resets the number of times you can reset the region code in effect making it region free.

Even when you do get software, it's usually not very good.

I use Cyberlink PowerDVD HD with mine - it's pretty decent.
