Just ordered mine yesterday.

Nice ones BE!
Is the BU blu of Hardware better than the Optimum blu BE?

Thanks b. :)

Most reviews and screenshots I've seen indicate that the pq is slightly better on the Severin release. Both releases also have different extras, and as I have the SE Optimum DVD already, the better pq and different extras (in particular the Severin exclusive: No Flesh Shall Be Spared doc) made me decide to pick up the Severin version in HD. ;)

Here is an interesting comparison from blu-ray.com:

Optimum UK
Severin US

Also preordered that MANIAC on Blu.
Looking forward to that one!

Hi, whats CHERRY TREE LANE about then? Never heard of this film myself. I like the title of it.

A type of urban EDEN LAKE by the sound of it.

The director's other film,From London to Brighton was rather harrowing,so I ain't expecting happy stuff!
I believe he also made The Cottage....

The Optimum DVD is very decent b, and I'm sure the Blu will be even better.

Interesting info from mondo-digital, too. It's strange how the Optimum version doesn't include a 5.1 track; not that I'll be taking advantage of that particular track until I get a new surround sound system, anyway! ;)

Cherry Tree Lane is more like a British version of Funny Games and is pretty tough viewing (I've just finished watching it) and if it's quite neatly into the 'home invasion' genre but I don't think it is interesting that something like Funny Games or Them.

Only a few minutes in but 'future events such as these will affect you in the future' has got to be one of the greatest lines in any film :pound:
