Just had friends round and was given these two films.

Never heard of either. Anyone here seen them?

Both are excellent. Big Bad Wolves is from the Israeli team who previously brought us Rabies. It's a powerful revenge film and was one of my favourite films of last year (it was also on Tarantino's list, although round these parts that could be the kiss of death).

Jackpot is a black comedy based upon a story from Jo Nesbø. It came out around the same tie as Headhunters and while not quite reaching the same heights it is still a worthwhile watch.

Thanks for the info SShaw. :)

Big bad wolves is fantastic. Sadly only available state side on blu-ray. Forget all the tiresome Tarantino bashing (the backlash has been and gone and his works popularity endures, so it failed) He was spot on with this one.
