My copies of BEREAVEMENT, HILLS HAVE EYES 2, 6 FILMS TO KEEP YOU AWAKE and THE BOOGENS all showed up, in fact it turns out thy showed up nearly a week ago and were left across the road at the corner shop! The shopkeeper put the packet to one side and forgot about it. Fortunately though it slipped through customs unnoticed so no charge!

For anyone that cares, I decided against getting head, zombie head is a little too lifeless for my tastes.:pound: The seller of the Night of The Demons one sheet received a better offer so I didn't get that either.:( But I picked up an original one sheet for Corbucci's The Mercenary and took advantage of Raro's BOGO sale.:woot:

This weeks arrival.

Nosferatu@Cult Labs 1st September 2012 01:16 PM

My Jaws Steelbook arrived today – extremely well packaged by Play.com – and, from a cursory look over, the picture quality is as good as it looked at the cinema and the DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1 sound is very well balanced, without going overboard (pardon the pun) with the surrounds and bass.

The extra features, particularly the new hour-long documentary, will also be essential viewing and it's great to have the Steelbook without any certificates or unnecessary icons as these are all on the cardboard slip.

I'm actually disappointed about the lack of ANY artwork in the back of the steelbook. Very lazy indeed.

If that's the case, I might end up picking up the local Australian digibook, instead of the same priced UK Steelbook.

Popped into CEX with my sons to buy them an Xbox game and came away with [REC] 2 on Blu Ray for £5 and unbelievably The Walking Dead Season 2 on Blu Ray for £15! Considering the fact it's around £30 at the minute, I didn't hesitate on picking up one of the two copies they had in stock, plus all 3 discs look like they haven't been touched :)

Has the region coding of Redemptions Jess Franco titles been confirmed yet? I'm also a bit worried about Kinos Black Sunday and Lisa and the Devil

I picked up Serenity for £1.99 from the Co-op on Friday night. I've never seen Firefly although I've heard good things about it, so will need to pick that up at some point. If it is anywhere near as good as Buffy the Vampire Slayer or Angel then I will be in for a treat.

Serenity is a brilliant sci-fi-action film. Enough back story is given in the first ten minutes so you don't need to have watched Firefly to understand what's going on, but it's a richer experience if you watch the TV show through and then Serenity straight after.
