I think they are better than all bar the Hooper original and the first half hour of the second film.

Yeah, I probably should have used better wordage. :) I like the 1974, 2003 and 2006 movies but aren't too impressed with the rest of the franchise.

I'd like to see a decent blu ray release of Leatherface:TCM3, despite its faults, I still enjoy it

Despite what I just said about the Marcus Nispel films, I actually quite like Leatherface, though I prefer TCM: The Next Generation!

The really cool thing about the 2003 Marcus Nispel film is that it reused the original cinematographer (Daniel Pearl). That alone, makes it a highly fascinating Chainsaw entry. When I first saw it, I expected the worst since it was produced by Michael Bay but I was pleasantly surprised. Easily the best of the Platinum Dunes remakes. I think I'll rewatch it this afternoon (whilst the wife is at work) in preparation for Beginning's arrival.

If I remember correctly Twinky is a VERY dodgy flick indeed, as I recall schoolgirl George(in full uniform) falls for oldie Bronson!!! saw it as a pre-cert rental VHS in 81-82, in fact I think I switched it off not believing what I was watching, it will be interesting to read what you make of it (it's a long way off Deathwish more like Savilewish:lol::lol:)

I've never seen it. I used to have the pre-cert vhs but sold it before i could even watch it.

It can't be that bad tonally. It's only a 12 cert. From the box blurb it appears to be more courtroom drama than anything else.

It's one of the few Bronson films i haven't seen at some point or other.

June's arrivals:

A much lighter month than usual due to having bought the car. That said, I was still ensnared by the Network and Screen Archives Twilight Time sales.

Is Man Hunt the one which begins and ends at Berchtesgaden, b_e?
