I saw HAPPY DEATH DAY at the cinema today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Things take a little while to get going, but this pays dividends later on as the character development and locations are more defined than if it was rushed. I was pleased they acknowledged the obvious influences and Groundhog Day is mentioned in dialogue and imagine it will be something I buy in about a year when it is what I consider to be appropriately priced.

Today's picks, the Reed western was a R1 DVD in a local charity shop in a CD jewel case and thought it was a VCD at first(looked like a bootleg but p.q. was okay when I gave it a spin, just wish it was in normal case with the cover below.)

also picked up some Karloff movies off Music Magpie I have not seen.

it's a slasher film for kids, fun but forgettable
