They're cheaper for most stuff and apart from them messing up my order for the Universal Monsters set last year (they didn't have enough in stock, meaning my pre-order was delayed resulting in me ordering from Play), I've never had any issue with them, certainly get stuff on pre-order earlier than from Amazon/Zavvi/HMV/Play etc

The things you get through the post!

Didnt get the job at the bank, not enough hours. But I was told that I'm definately getting a call if anything more local turns up.

Its fair enough, doing the sums i'd be left with barely enough to keep the lights on after train fair.

Metallicbomb 22nd February 2013 03:29 PM

I was watching that Italian zombie doc on my replaced Zombie Flesh Eaters disc last night. Saw some clips of Nightmare City and thought it looked worth a watch. Did a quick dvdcompare.net and went for the Swiss R2 with the Lenzi commentary . . .

Youb should have a blast with the movie, its cheesy as hell but a great deal of fun.

Yeah it stood apart from the clips of other stuff I hadn't seen. Still no interest in any of the cannibal cycle . . .

the cannibal stuff is worth a look, Ferox is pure trash but 'enjoyable' in its own way, Holocaust is probably the only real classic but moutain of the cannibal god is certainly fun. Man from deep river and eaten alive are watchable. The main problem with them is the animal cruelty.

As for NIGHTMARE CITY, well its starts off the mayhem straight from the get go and never really eases the breaks at any point so its pretty much impossible to get bored by the movie even when it (often) gets REALLY silly.

You've probably seen them already but I REALLY like zombie creeping flesh (aka hell of the living dead) and Zombie 3 is much maligned but worth a look, the shriek show release is actually pretty good as well. If your actually looking for something classy the LIVING DEAD AT THE MANCHESTER MOURGE (let sleeping corpses lie) and CEMETARY MAN are excellent as well.

Also bruno mattei kept making zombie movies for a while, there quite difficult to obtain (legally) and very daft but also worth a watch so long as you dont expect too much from them.

I've just ordered Zombie Lake and Oasis of the Zombies for £9.99 each, with postage it came to £21.94.

I went to Dalton Park yesterday to look for some black jeans or chinos and came back with two smart/casual tops and these from That's Entertainment, which cost £35:

Yeah I think the animal cruelty is the main factor there. I'm happy to stay well away from em. Manchester Morgue is one of my favourite horror films full stop, but I'm not keen on Dellamorte Dellamore . . .

Well dellamorte is not everyones cup of tea, I love it however, I think it has a great sense of humour to it and its WAY better than the recent sub-standard dylan dog movie. Like Zombie 3 it has a flying zombie head in it which has always been a selling point for me, unfortunately no DJ's with cucumber eyes!

Not seen the others, but Friedmans I found fascinating and disturbing. Quite a bargain for a squid, I'd say.

Last thing I got was one of these:
