Saw this in CEX for £1.50, so it was Dolph & Jean-Claude instead of a coffee.

It's great artwork. Part of the Reel Heroes line of blu's and steelbooks. I'm actually going to replace my Scarface steelbook with that one.

Stephen@Cult Labs 19th June 2013 08:34 PM

Scream Factory's The Howling, and Twilight Time's Hard Times arrived today. Both look great (packaging wise).

Ah, I figured it was part of one of those contrived studio jobbies, forcing unrelated titles together with 'gotta collect em all!' artwork  . . .

Slippery Jack 19th June 2013 08:39 PM

Just pre-ordered the BFI's upcoming release of Killing of a Chinese Bookie. It's one of those limited to 1000 units 3 disc sets like they did with Deep End, only unlike that set, this one actually has the extras to warrant a third disc  . . .

Frankenhooker 19th June 2013 09:01 PM

I'm not a fan of that Scarface art, but Jean-Claude and Dolph is certainly better than a coffee.

I'm very interested in this movie, sounds good.

Would you recommend it? And if I didn't like it, do you think it would become as valuable as the Deep End set?

I didn't have a collection until I stopped smoking and drinking.

I am currently at 1777 with the majority of that being dvds and a sprinkling of blurays ,which end up being 2147 film titles.

Too early to get worried?

My BURNING and TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN are both taking forever to arrive. If their not there by estimated delivery its time to fail a complaint, most likely theres another rogue mailman opening parcels. I'm worried because a friend of mine who ordered the same time I did had his stuff arrive last week..

On a side note, wandered into cash gen and found SINISTER on Blu-ray for £3.99. First time watching it away from the cinema screen and thought it held up well on home video. The score is excellent.

I ordered a small bundle from Barnes & Noble and they delayed my TTDS, only just sending it yesterday, so they claim.

Other stuff is from random places: Amazon sellers, US forumites, US stores. But as I say, the US stuff is ALL severely delayed, hence my concern. As I say, used to get stuff within a week to a week and a half, so now getting very worried - and have no doubts they've been sent.

In every case you have comeback.

My main frustration is that I landed TOWN THAT DREADED SUNDOWN at a totally bargain price, about £8.39 or something. I know i'll get my money back if it doesent arrive but I wont get it at that price point again. :(

That said they COULD show up today. It would be a pity as the weather is so lovely outside i'm going to make the most of it. Had an interview for CEX on tuesday, it went well, so hopefully i'll be gainfully employed and blowing my wages on a weekly basis soon. It does mean that i'll be in work on days like this so might as well make the most of them!

keirarts 20th June 2013 07:07 AM

Also on the topic of smoking as mentioned above..

I quit around 2008. Went cold turkey. Best decision ever and i've not looked back. Not only do I feel better, I lost weight and all those purchases I used to post on here before I got made redundant were pretty much financed by that decision. Essentially I gave up one vice for another. My current dvd/blu vice wont give me cancer either (well so long as I avoid michael bay films!)

Bloody too right I recommend it  Ben Gazarra AND Seymour Cassell? C'mon !!! ...and yes, I predict it will go up in price (possibly more so with it being more well known, and having loads of great extras on the exclusive third disc) . . .

Stephen@Cult Labs 20th June 2013 12:04 PM

Afternoon off from work today and come home to find....

Someone's put the Foxy Brown sleeve in the wrong way I noticed. Usually the new artwork on show.

Arrived today. Panic over with regards to the burning. Now all I need to turn up is townn that dreaded sundown. Not quite hollywood is ludicrously cheap at the minute and highly reccomended.

trebor8273 20th June 2013 04:31 PM

Just ordered ZFE steelbook direct from arrow, thankfull it was only 19.99 which is a lot better than what some people are charging on amazon. Just happy to get this back in my collection, seemed to of been lucky because it looks like its out of stock now

Is burning region free or is it locked?

I really need to save up and get a region free player, unless arrow or someone bring it over.

Given that it recently got a 35mm screening in the UK. I'd say its likely someone may be planning to announce a UK release on Blu-ray. It'll either be Second sight or Arrow. It looks F*****g fantastic on Blu, i'd seen a link posted where a reviewer had suggested it wasnt much of an upgrade from DVD. Well i've sat watching the disc most of the afternoon (the weather turned bad) and that statement is b******s. It looks fantastic, i've never seen the film looking or sounding so good.
